Astoria Queens NY Fatal Death From Gunshot

 An event transpired early Monday morning in Astoria, Queens, where NYPD officers fatally shot a 61-year-old individual. Officers reacted to several 911 calls reporting a person wielding a large knife and acting erratically. Upon their arrival, the officers interacted with the individual, striving to de-escalate the situation. They utilized multiple stun guns; however, these proved ineffective. The individual then moved towards the officers, prompting them to discharge their weapons. The man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
